As part of California American Water's commitment to safety they wanted to create an easy to watch standardized safety training video for new hires. With only two full time staff responsible for safety training and management, their resources were spread thin. We worked seamlessly with their safety staff to review their scripts, prepare a shot list and coordinate the call sheet. We shot the instructional portions in front of green screens on location, the shot supplemental video in processing facilities to show safety in the work environment. We later recorded a voice over and edited the the edited the footage to it. The shoot was in numerous locations over a few days in varied conditions and was shot with a variety of crew, cameras and equipment. Now, California American Water has a standardized safety training tool that is cost effective allowing them to maximize their safety training efforts.
